Meet the people building Weaverly.

Company building, production engineering, and category creation, united by one belief: relationships deserve a system of their own.

David Cerven

Founder & Superconnector

David has spent twenty-five years building companies that ran on relationships, and Weaverly is the system he always wished existed.

He is a six-time founder. At 22 he co-founded a nonprofit and led a $5 million capital campaign. He built and led a creative firm for thirteen years. He co-founded a COVID-19 diagnostic lab that scaled to five locations and sixty employees in ten weeks and closed a $65 million agreement with Abbott Laboratories. As General Manager of 90 Degrees West, he rebuilt culture and operations, raised employee retention 49 percent, and delivered a clean sale to private equity.

Along the way he served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Washington University's Skandalaris Center, coached NCAA basketball, and spent eight years on the Maplewood city council.

Every one of those outcomes arrived through his network, tracked by memory and instinct and nothing else. Weaverly is what happens when a superconnector finally builds himself a system.

Dathan Guiley, Fractional CTO at Weaverly

Dathan Guiley

Fractional CTO

Dathan is a three-time CTO with thirty years of production engineering behind him, including senior roles at Netflix, Amazon, Yahoo, and Overstock, and technical leadership of a twenty-engineer product team at Porsche Digital. Through Wilde Agency, his consulting practice, he advises funded startups and PE-backed portfolios and writes the technical diligence memos investors rely on before they commit.

At Weaverly he owns the architecture and the standards. He decides how the platform is built and what it runs on, sets the process the development team works inside, and reviews what ships. Thirty years of production experience is not a credential here. It is the difference between decisions that scale and decisions that quietly get expensive.

Nancy Schwartz, Head of Marketing at Weaverly

Nancy Schwartz

Head of Marketing

Nancy has spent more than thirty years leading marketing for organizations in growth mode, from publicly traded global brands to startups. That range helps her spot the gaps, competing priorities, and growing complexity that others sometimes miss.

She held marketing leadership roles at Build-A-Bear Workshop as the company grew from 90 U.S. stores to more than 400 locations worldwide and became a $400 million global brand. She later built and led the marketing function at Buckingham Wealth Partners and now advises growing, small to mid-sized organizations through her own consulting practice.

At Weaverly, she leads marketing and PR, including one of the hardest assignments in the company: naming a category that does not yet exist. Most professionals already sense their network is worth more than they are getting from it. Nancy's job is turning that instinct into language people understand, believe in, and act on.
